CHAPTER 13
13. Call Home
13. 1. General
The Call Home feature allows the EuroRoute to call a pre-programmed phone number on a
specific day and time. The phone number dialled by the EuroRoute is intended to reach a
maintainer’s database, at which time the maintainer can update or re-program the EuroRoute.
When Call Home is used via a route (017 = 8), the number held in Register 600 is not used for
Call Home. For example, if Call Home was done with 017 = 8, the EuroRoute would not Call
Home with the contents of 681 inserted in front of the contents of Register 600.
To get the unit to Call Home via a route, for example 017 = 8, you would have to set 681 with
XXXX (X = Carrier Access Code) and 682 with 0800XXXXXXX (0800XXXXXXX = Call
Home Number) and then set 685 with 212235 to enable the number to be dialled.
Note: The Call Home feature will only work on loop calling lines.
