8380-383-115-BA
Issue 2, June 1999
72
After the Dialer applies modem originate tone, the Dialer can go into either modem or MF4
remote programming mode. If the Dialer and the remote modems connect and the Terminal
Security Code (604) is input, modem programming will be entered. If the carrier presentation
time expires, the Dialer will prompt the programmer for the MF4 Security Code (603) by
sending an MF4 B.
If the trunk is busy at the time of Call Home, the Dialer will wait for the trunk to be freed up.
Once the Dialer has started a Call Home session, either direct dialed or routed, it has fulfilled
its obligation to Call Home, whether the call is answered or not.

You can control whether the Dialer will Call Home.
13. 6. 600 - Call Home Number
This register stores the pre-defined telephone number that will be used by the Dialer to Call
Home (003 = 0 or 9, in order to be used). The Call Home feature is disabled when this register
is blank.
13. 7. 605 - Call Home Interval Timer
The number stored in this register represents the number of minutes that must expire between
each Call Home session. If this register is programmed with a non-zero value, the time defined
