Topology Requirements
With regard to network topology discussed in this appendix, keep the following requirements in mind:
• There is only one network interface for each MiVoice Office 250.
• Private Networking cannot operate through a NAT device.
• The communication between SIP phones and the MiVoice Office 250 must not pass through
near-end NAT, unless it is performed by a SIP-aware firewall. The same requirement exists for
a firewall performing far-end NAT.
• The communication between the MiVoice Office 250 and AWC server must
not
pass through
NAT.
