Perform a Database backup and a Database save using DB Programming. For details, refer to
the latest
MiVoice Office 250 Features and Programming Guide
. Also, back up the voice mail
data and file-based MOH files (via AWP), if applicable.
A database backup using DB Programming saves the database to the system. However, you
should also perform a
Database Save
to your computer or other accessible location. You can
the use this copy to convert, test, and restore the database after the upgrade.

Record the system’s IP settings for reference.

Download the SSL Certificate.
a.
From the
Administrative Web Portal
(AWP) click the
System Information
tab, and then
click the
SSL Cert
link.
b.
Click the
Download SSL Certificate
link and click
Download SSL Certificate
button.
c.
Download SSL certificate to your Personal Computer.
d.
Keep downloaded SSL Certificate in safe, protected place.

Shut down the system using the LCD panel, and unplug the system power cord.
6.
Wearing a properly terminated anti-static wrist strap, remove the existing compact flash-type
memory card from the system by pressing the ejector button.
7.
Insert the new v6.0 or later compact flash-type memory card.
8.
Plug in the system power cord, and power up the system using the LCD panel.
9.
If the LCD prompts you to upgrade the NOR Flash and FPGA, press the middle LCD panel
button to continue.
After the upgrade is complete (this process takes several minutes), the system automatically
reboots.

In its default state, the system attempts to use DHCP for network addressing. If on a network
that provides DHCP, press the middle LCD panel button three times to view the current IP
address. If on a network that does not provide DHCP, use the LCD panel to update the system
IP settings with those recorded in
.

If the system is equipped with an optional Processing Server (PS-1), download the appropriate
v5.0 or later PS-1 installer file and follow these steps to upgrade the PS-1 to v6.0 or later:
For v3.2 or earlier systems:
a.
Record the IP settings for the PS-1 so that they can be manually restored after the upgrade.
b.
Unzip the v6.0 or later PS-1 installer file on to a PC equipped with a CD burner.
c.
Burn the unzipped ISO image file to a CD.
d.
Insert the CD into the PS-1 and reboot the server (it will boot up from the disk).
e.
Follow the instructions displayed on the monitor to upgrade the software.
f.
After the upgrade is complete, reboot the server when prompted, and log on using the
“admin” account.
g.
Update the IP settings on the PS-1 with those recorded in step
.
