Use the intercom mode

The intercom mode is used to communicate with internal parties, without any action on
your part.
To activate the interphone mode, the user only needs to press the loudspeaker key while
the phone is in standby mode. The
symbol appears now in the first line in order to indi-
cate that the mode is active.
Terminal in standby mode; pressing the loudspeaker key terminates this mode. The sym-
bol shown in the first line disappears.
Note:
This mode can also be activated in the Settings menu of the terminal
(See “Activating the interphone mode”, page 69).
The interphone mode on a multi-key or multi-line terminal is only active for the first call.
An internal contact calls you:
After a short ring, the communication is set up automatically
without any intervention.
To call an internal party:
Dial directly the number and talk as soon as the contact has
picked up.
Ending the communication in intercom mode:
If the party you have called has the initiative for hanging up, you
do not have to do anything; the phone returns to standby.
If you want to hang up, press the
key.
Adjusting the listening volume level
Independently of the mode (handset, hands-free, headset or group listening), the sound
volume can be adjusted (8 levels). The setting is stored.
