CONFIGURING LLDP-MED AND ELIN
Use the following procedures to configure LLDP-MED and ELIN on the IP phones.
For specific parameters you can set in the configuration files, see Appendix A, the section,

Use the following procedure to enable/disable LLDP-MED using the IP Phone UI.
For the 6863i/6865i:
1.
Press
on the phone to enter the Options List.
2.
Select
Administrator Menu.
3.
Select
Network Settings
.
4.
Select
Ethernet & VLAN
.
5.
Select
LLDP Support
.
6.
Press
CHANGE
to toggle the LLDP setting to
Enabled
or
Disabled
.
This field enables or disables Link Layer Discovery Protocol for Media Endpoint Devices
(LLDP-MED) on the IP Phone.
7.
Press
DONE
to save the change.
For the 6867i/6869i:
1.
Press
to enter the Options List.
2.
Press the
Advanced
softkey.
3.
Enter the Administrator password using the keypad. Default is “
22222
”.
4.
Select
Network > LLDP
.
This option enables or disables Link Layer Discovery Protocol for Media Endpoint Devices
(LLDP-MED) on the IP Phone.

Use the

keys enable or disable the feature.
6.
Press the
Save
softkey.
