SGM-2200-2 NAC Expander for
FX-2200 Fire Alarm Control Panel
The SGM-2200-2 provides two additional NAC output circuits to the FX-2200 panel.
This publication describes the physical installation procedure for the NAC Expander.

Installing the SGM-2200-2 Module
The SGM-2200-2 module mounts inside the FX-2200 Fire Alarm Control Panel on the
back plate in one of the three expander locations.
1.
Position the SGM-2200-2 Module in the upper most empty expander module
location.
2.
Secure the module to the back plate using the No. 4 screws and lock washer
(provided). Use the lockwasher on the plated mounting hole (see Figure 1 for
location).
3.
Connect an unused Vbell to VB+/VB-. Vbell is TB5 on the Main Board. Connect “+”
to “+” and “-” to “-”. Use 18 AWG twisted pair for wiring. Route wires as shown in
Figure 1.
4.
Connect Ribbon Cable to panel or previous expander module.
NOTE: This component must be included in the control panel battery
calculation. Refer to the Battery Calculation Sheet in the FX-2200 Installation
Manual (LT-2000MIR) included with the control panel.
