Operator’s Guide (for Imagestore 750s)
The ‘Panel Status’ sub-menu allows you to restart the panel, adjust the LCD brightness, update
the panel configuration, and perform tests.
Turn the menu knob for LCD brightness to adjust brightness visually or use the keypad to enter
a numerical value (from 40 to 255). The LCD brightness does not reduce to zero. We suggest you
try a brightness value of 127.
Four function buttons are available:

Function
Shut Down
Panel
Performs a “clean” shutdown. The internal software halts, the screen becomes dark, and but-
tons and knobs become inoperable. The power supplies shut down.
Warning: never just shut off power. You risk damage to the panel’s flash memory.
To start the
panel
after a shutdown, you must cycle power, either at the power cord, or by
flipping the power supplies’ on/off switches inside the
panel
.
Restart
Panel
Performs a “hard” start
—
restarting the control panel completely. The process takes about a
minute. After restart, the menu system resumes at the main menu.
Test Panel
Press the ‘Test Panel’ button to view the
.
Update
Config
Performs a “soft” start
—
restarting the control panel software only (with the current config-
uration).
(“Update” means that the panel’s configuration is copied from local non-volatile storage to
local memory.)
The “Update Config” process takes only a few seconds. During this time the panel will cycle
off and back on again. Use this soft start function to restart the control panel software when
you have written a configuration to the panel.
Purge
Thumbs
Cache
Pressing ‘Purge Thumbs Cache’ causes the panel to empty its cache of Intuition XG thumb-
nail images.
