Toner Empty Detection Control

• A toner-empty condition is detected by the Toner Empty Switch.
• Whether the Toner Empty Switch is actuated or deactuated is detected while the Toner

Replenishing Motor turns one complete turn.

• A toner-near-empty condition results if the Toner Empty Switch is actuated a predeter-

mined number of times after it has been actuated twice consecutively.

• A toner-empty condition results if the Toner Empty Switch is actuated a predetermined

number of times after the toner-near-empty warning message has appeared.
