Remove the media tray from the
upper unit (printer or other 500-sheet
media tray), and then secure the two
units at the two locations shown
using the enclosed screws. (Use a
coin to tighten the screws.) After
tightening the screws, replace the
media tray.
When installing multiple 500-sheet
media trays, secure each using the
same procedure.

Reconnect all interface cables.

Reconnect the power cord, and turn
on the printer.

Media Trays
The printer comes with a 200-sheet multipurpose tray (inputbin 1) and a
500-sheet upper media tray (inputbin 2). You may install up to three
500-sheet optional media trays (inputbins 5 through 7). Additional trays may
be purchased. The replacement trays provide these benefits:

Expanded flexibility to switch media size, color, and type without having to
unload and load media.
„
Increased media-feed capacity.
Keep replacement trays close by, so you can easily change media by slipping
one tray out and another in.
Time-of-Day Clock
The time-of-day clock provides time and date information on the startup page
and in the accounting data.
