The MKA-4 is recommended for use with Maxxum, Maxxum Pro, Riptide SM and Riptide Pro Minn Kota
®
motors.
The Bow-mount Stabilizer Bracket is used to stabilize the Maxxum Mount and reduce bouncing when the motor is stowed and transported.
Attention to detail is needed for successful installation of the stabilizer. When the motor is stowed, the adjustable stabilizer is positioned
vertically between the Upper Arm of the bracket and the deck of the boat. We recommend having the stabilizer kit installed by a qualified
marine installer.

a. Before mounting the trolling motor, place the Hold
Down Strap (Item #10) under the Bow-mount
between the Mounting Holes near the back of the
motor rest, with the hook and loop side of the strap
facing down.
b. Secure the Bow-mount with the Mounting Bolts
included with the trolling motor to capture the Hold
Down Strap as noted in the “Installation of the
Bow-mount” section of the Owner’s Manual.
