17. Record mean value of the region in the appropriate section of the User QC Spreadsheet.
18. Go to tool box, and click “Save Planning File” and save as “Sinus Contrast.”
19. Open each sinus scout, load the planing file and record the mean value of the region in the
appropriate section of the User QC Spreadsheet.
20. Open the Scout of a temporal bone Scout.
21. Repeat steps 12-16 for the temporal bone Scout.
22. Go to tool box and click “Save Planning File,” and save as “T-Bone Contrast.”
23. Open each temporal bone Scout, load the planing file and record the mean value of the region in
the appropriate section of the User QC Spreadsheet.
24. Using the Attenuation Table below, lookup the nearest attenuation value for water, and trace the
row right to find the Teflon-Water Differential ∆΅. Record this number in the appropriate
section of the User QC Spreadsheet. If the water attenuation value corresponds to more then
one energy (multiple table rows), record the mean value of the Teflon-Water Differential.
