Calibration by value
Calibration by value is done indirectly. It is a theoretical calibration. The calibration is based
on the assumption that the dead load is zero and determining the max. calibration. Then, the
system shows the dead load. The zero point is adjusted to this dead load and the calibration
point is shifted according to the zero point, i.e. the system is calibrated according to its dead
load.
1. Calibration for max capacity
1.
Pspan [%] = (full scale * 100) / (total capacity of load cell).
Where
Pspan is in percent
Full scale as weight value
Load cell capacity = nominal load * number of load cells
I.e. sum of all load cells capacity as weight value
2.
Go to parameter
input.1.
3.
Set InL.1 =0 ,OuL.1 =0 , InH.1 = obtained Pspan ,OuH.1 = full scale.
4.
Save/store the data to the device.
5.
The device now shows the dead load weight on the display.
2. Dead load calibration
6.
Pdead_ld [%] = ( deadload * 100) / (total capacity of load cell).
7.
Set InL.1 =Pdead_ld ,OuL.1 = 0, InH.1 = obtained Pspan + Pdead_ld ,OuH.1 = full scale.
8.
Save/store the data to the device.
9.
The device now adjusts the dead load weight and displays zero in the display.
