
4.5 System tab
The
System
tab accesses web pages to configure time, password access, Location Based Services,
centralised configuration settings, saving and restoring device configuration, firmware upgrades and
rebooting the device.
4.5.1 Changing System Settings
The
System
configuration page configures general system settings.
Some parameters may be hidden. These can be displayed and by selecting them from the

drop-down box and clicking

. The system parameters are described in the table below.

Field
Name of the device.
Hostname
A drop-down box to select the country timezone.
Timezone
Buffer size is 16kb by default.
System log buffer size
IP address of the external system log server.
External system log server
0-7 filtering of system log messages.
Log output level
4.5.2 Changing the System Administrator Password
The administrator login restricts access to the web browser configuration. It is strongly recommended to
change the default password when using it for the first time.
