5.1
Introduction
The chapter describes how to change the patient category, enter and exit the Standby
mode, and discharge the patient in the condition of stand-alone use.
5.2
Changing the Patient Category
NOTE
•
Ensure that patient category selection is appropriate for the patient before
taking a measurement.
•
Changing patient category restores BP10 to the factory default settings but
does not clear patient information or data.
To change the patient category, follow this procedure:
1.
In the main menu, select
Patient Info
.
2.
In the
Patient Info
menu, select
Patient Category
to select the desired patient
category.
The screen displays the “Are you sure you want to change patient category?”
message.
3.
Select
Yes
to confirm the change.
The selected patient category displays to the right of
Patient Category
.
4.
Press the
key to exit the menu.
5.3
Placing a Device in Standby
NOTE
•
BP10 cannot enter the Standby mode when the battery is depleted.
To enter the Standby mode, follow this procedure:
1.
In the main menu, select
Standby
.
2.
In the
Standby
confirmation menu, select
Yes
.
When entering Standby mode, BP10 does the following:
■
Stop all NIBP measurements.
■
Clear all current technical messages.
■
Display
Standby
and remaining battery charge icon on the screen.
5.4
Exiting the Standby Mode
You can press any hard key to exit Standby mode.
