When the detection operation of the
winding diameter is completed, press the
key.
• Detects the media width.
• When [MEDIA DETECT] of the machine setup is
“MANUAL” ( P.3-15), refer to P.2-15 "Setting
of the manual media width setting" and enter the
media width.
• When [MEDIA RESIDUAL] of the machine setup
is “ON” ( P.3-15), the screen for entering
media remaining amount is displayed after
detecting the media width.(

When you perform over printing
When you perform over printing, set the fabric media after
performing the work below:

For “Setting the Media Detection” in machine setup,
set "MANUAL" for the detection method (
P.3-15),
and set the media width by referring to P.2-15
“Setting of the manual media width setting”.


How to adjust fabric retainer
Adjust the height of the stainless steel plate in line with the
thickness of the fabric.

Remove the fabric retainer.
• Slide the fabric retainer to the edge of the platen
and remove it.

Loosen the knob-screws, and adjust the
height of the stainless steel plate in line
with the thickness of the fabric.
How to adjust the folding bar
To perform printing on media with appropriate tension, it is
necessary to adjust the mount position of the folding bar
and the number of bars.

If the tension of the media is low
Increase the winding angle.
The tension applied to the media becomes higher.

If the tension of the media is high
Decrease the winding angle.
The tension applied to the media becomes lower.
• When you finish setting the media, print any data
to check that media tension is applied
appropriately.
If white or black lines appear in a printed image, it
means that tension suitable for the set media is
not applied. Change the position of folding bar or
the weight adjustment for feeding/take-up tension
bar and check until an appropriate position is set.
• When you performed over printing, at detecting
the media after setting it, the media width input
screen is displayed. At this time, input the set
media width, and press the [ENTER].
• When a heavy fabric is pressed and held, set the
height of the head in accordance with the
thickness of the fabric. If the height of the head is
kept low, it may cause the break of the head.
