BEFORE TAKING A PHENOMENON AS A TROUBLE
Take appropriate remedies referring to the phenomena described below.
The device cannot detect a sheet. [** NO SHEET **]
Cause 1
:
A transparent sheet or a sheet of which wrong side is black is used.
Remedy 1
:
Set the sheet sensor function to OFF.
The device performs cutting to produce broken lines.
Cause 1
:
Screw in the tool holder has loosened.
Remedy 1
:
Tighten the screw.
Cause 2
:
The blade of the cutter protrudes excessively.
Remedy 2
:
Adjust the protruding amount of the blade adequately.
Cause 3
:
Is the tool condition set to [HALF]
Remedy 3
:
Set the tool condition to [CUT].
Cause 4
:
The blade is chipped or has worn out.
Remedy 4
:
Replace the blade with a new one.
A communication error arises in prior to receiving data.
Cause 1
:
The power to the device and that to the host computer have been turned on in
wrong order.
Remedy 1
:
Turn on the power to the host computer first. Then, turn on the power to the
device.
The device does not operate even if the host computer sends data to the device.
Cause 1
:
The plotter name specified on the host computer is wrong.
Remedy 1
:
Check up the plotter name specified on the host computer.
Cause 2
:
The interface cable is not securely connected to the device and/or the host
computer.
Remedy 2
:
Securely connect the interface cable.
An error arises on the device when the host computer sends data to the device.
Cause 1
:
Communication conditions have not been properly established.
Remedy 1
:
Check up the communication conditions.
Cause 2
:
A wrong operation has been executed.
Remedy 2
:
Execute the correct operation.
The device fails to cut the paper.
Cause 1
:
Cutting conditions have not been established.
Remedy 1
:
Select the cutting condition (HALF).
