Setting of frequency
Both AC and Pulse Frequency can be
adjusted by this keypad.
AC Frequency
can be adjusted by pressing the
keypad and simultaneously turning the large control
knob. The selected frequency will be shown in the
display. Pulse welding must not be activated when
the AC Frequency is adjusted.
Pulse Frequency
can be adjusted by pressing the
keypad and simultaneously turning the large control
knob. The selected frequency will be shown in the
display. AC welding must not be activated when the
Pulse Frequency is adjusted.
Setting of AC Balance and Pulse
Balance
Both AC Balance and Pulse Balance can
be adjusted by this keypad.
The AC Balance
is used to adjust the ratio of
cleaning to penetration in TIG AC welding and can be
adjusted from 40 to 80 %. Largest penetration can be
reached by 80 %. The AC balance can be adjusted
by pressing the keypad and simultaneously turning
the large control knob. The selected AC Balance will
be shown in the display. Pulse welding must not be
activated when the AC frequency is adjusted.
AC Balance
The Pulse Balance
is the ratio of pulse time and
pulse period as shown in the figure below and can be
adjusted from 20 to 80%. The Pulse Balance can be
adjusted by pressing the keypad and simultaneously
turning the large control knob. The selected Pulse
Balance will be shown in the display. AC welding
must not be activated when the Pulse Balance is
adjusted.
Puls Balance
Gas pre-flow
Gas pre-flow is the period of time for which
gas flows after torch trigger is pressed and
before the HF arc is established or until the torch is
lifted away from the workpiece in the LIFTIG process.
The time can be set to 0.1 to 5.0 Sec. The time can
be adjusted by pressing the keypad and
simultaneously turning the large control knob.
Slope-up
When the arc is established the machine
enters into slope-up during which the
welding current is increased from the value chosen
as initial current to the selected welding current.
The length of this period is the slope-up period, which
is indicated in seconds from 0 to 10 Sec. The time
can be adjusted by pressing the keypad and
simultaneously turning the large control knob.
Slope-down
When welding is stopped by activation
of the trigger the machine enters into
slope-down. During this period the
current is decreased to the final
current. The length of this period is the
slope-down period, which is indicated in seconds
from 0-16 Sec.
Gas post-flow
The gas post-flow time is the period from
the extinction of the arc to the interruption
of the gas supply. The time is indicated in seconds
from 3-25 Sec. The time can be adjusted by pressing
the keypad and simultaneously turning the large
control knob.
Torch control
Adjustment is made by means of the adjustment
button on the welding torch if such one exits. The
maximum welding current is adjusted on the button
on the machine control panel. By means of the torch
adjustment it is it is possible to decrease the current
to the minimum current of the machine.
Remote control
An 8-pole plug on the back of the machine
should be used for connection of a remote
control. The remote control automatically adjusts the
current.
Advanced functions
The machine has advanced
functions that can be adjusted in
order to optimize the use of the machine. Pressing
the keypad for ignition method until the display
changes to text can open the functions. The large
control knob should be turned until the required
parameter is shown in the display. Thereafter the
keypad for ignition method should be pressed shortly
and the parameter can be adjusted by means of the
large control knob. The keypad for ignition method
should be pressed again to save the changes in the
internal memory. Other parameters can be selected
by means of the large control knob or a short press
on another keypad than the keypad for ignition
method will close the menu.
The machine has the following advanced functions
