Rinsing the ice cube maker
Risk to health due to
contaminated water.
Bacteria can develop in water which
has been sitting in the water supply
lines for several days. This poses a
risk to your health.
The ice cube maker and water
supply pipework must be rinsed:
– Before using for the first time
– If the ice cube maker has not been
used for a long time (over 24 h)
– Regularly when in continuous use
(at least once a month), to remove
ice residues from the system (to
avoid a blockage of the water supply
pipework)
– Before switching the ice cube
maker off for a long time
After selecting the “Rinse the ice cube
maker” setting, the ice cube maker
and the water supply pipework will be
rinsed automatically with water.
The ice cube tray then rotates into the
cleaning position to allow you to dry it
by hand.
Water is collected in the ice cube
drawer
.
Risk of damage due to incorrect
operation.
Hot or boiling water or the addition
of cleaning agent (e.g. washing-up
liquid) can damage the water
container.
Only use cold, fresh tap water to fill
the water container.
Pull the water container forwards to
remove it.
Clean it thoroughly with water to
remove any dust, etc.
Fill the container up to the marker
with fresh, cold drinking water, or
drinking water which is at the most
hand-hot.
Place the filled water container back
into its holder and push it all the way
in.
Make sure that the water container
has locked into position and is sitting
correctly in its niche.
Make sure the ice cube drawer is
empty before selecting the “Rinse the
ice cube maker” setting. Otherwise,
the water will empty onto the contents
of the drawer.
