Pre-heating the oven
Most dishes can be placed in a cold
oven. They will then make use of the
heat produced during the heating
phase.
It is only necessary to pre-heat the oven
in a few instances:
With
Fan plus
– pre-heating may be necessary for
foods which cook in less than 20
minutes and for foods such as puff
pastry and yeast mixtures where
instant heat is required to make them
rise quickly.
– roasting beef/fillet.
With
Conventional heat
– It is usually necessary to pre-heat the
oven.
– baking pastry and cheesecake/flan
bases,
– pre-heating may be necessary for

The Rapid heat-up phase should be
switched off when baking pizza,
biscuits and small cakes. Otherwise
they will brown too quickly from the
top.

^
Select the required function and set
the temperature.
^
Wait for the oven to reach the set
temperature.
Once the set temperature is reached,
a signal will sound (provided this is
activated - see "Settings - Volume -
Buzzer tones").
^
Then place the food in the oven.
