Remove any accessories from the
oven that are not required for a
cooking process.
Pre-heat the oven only if instructed to
do so in the recipe or the cooking
chart.
Avoid opening the door during a
cooking process. If the door is
opened during a cooking process,
the heat in the oven automatically
switches off. The fan continues to
operate. As soon as the door is
closed again, the process will
continue.
If the door is opened during an
M Chef programme, the supply of
Gourmet Units is interrupted until the
door is closed again.
Most food can be cooked using
M Chef + Fan Plus
or Fan
Plus
. Heat is circulated around
the oven compartment immediately.
With Fan Plus
you can also cook
on several shelf levels at the same
time.
For grilling you should use M Chef +
Fan Grill
or Fan Grill
. With
Fan grill you can use lower
temperatures than with other grill
functions which use the maximum
temperature setting.
It is best to use metal baking tins if
possible. Baking tins made from
silicone, glass or ceramic may
prevent the underside browning
sufficiently.
It is best to use dark bakeware and
cooking containers with a matte finish
made of non-reflective materials
(enamelled steel or non-stick coated
cast aluminium). Shiny materials such
as stainless steel or aluminium reflect
the heat, preventing it from reaching
the food efficiently. Do not cover the
oven floor or the rack with heat-
reflective aluminium foil.
With conventional functions you
should set a duration if possible.
Monitor cooking durations to avoid
wasting energy when cooking food.
Use an Automatic programme when
you can.
If possible, use the Miele food probe.
Dishes which you are unable to
prepare at the same time should, if
possible, be cooked one after the
other in order to make use of existing
heat in the oven.
