power switch assembly also contains the input power fuse and
the AC/DC power connector.
The green
POWER
LED is illuminated when
power is applied to the unit and the power switch is set to on

) during normal operation.
The amber
ALERT
LED will illuminate when
system errors are present that do not cause the system to lose
service.
The red
ALARM
LED will illuminate when system
errors are present that cause the system to lose service.
The alphanumeric display provides the
user interface to enable local control of the state of the SCM4000
and to provide full monitoring capability for the system.
The function keys provide user inputs to control
the menu system that appears on the alphanumeric display. The
function keys consist of four directional arrow keys, a
SEL
(Select) key, and an
ESC
(Escape) key that are used to navigate
through the SCM4000 menus and to modify and monitor the
state of the SCM4000 system.
