12.7 Zero point adjustment
12.7.1 Zero point adjustment via the USB interface (not permissible in the Ex area)
Important note: The use of the USB interface of the myDatalog2Ex is NOT permitted in the Ex
area (see "Ex protection" on page 18). When using the USB interface, the myDatalog2Ex and
the connected sensor must not be located in the Ex area. This means that the following pro-
cedure to adjust the zero point is not permitted in the Ex area. In this case, use the adjust-
ment procedure with the help of the ALOHA data (see "Zero point adjustment using the
ALOHA data" on page 105).
The zero point adjustment is used to compensate shiftings of the zero point. The basic calibration
of the device is not changed by the zero point adjustment.
Note: All of the screenshots show version 3.8 of the DeviceConfig configuration program. The newer versions may
include minor changes to the appearance of the program.
1. Start the DeviceConfig configuration program. It is available for download in the service area
of your myDatanet server (see "myDatanet Server Manual " 805002). Installation instructions
are included in the user manual for the DeviceConfig ("myDatanetDeviceConfig Manual "
805004).

2. Remove the sensor cable and the protective armour. Then disconnect the device from the
rechargeable battery pack (see "Replacing the rechargeable battery or battery pack" on page
87) to expose the USB interface (see "Overview" on page 21).
