Used when the symbology type and how it’s decoded needs to be known.

Definition:

Symbology ID is an ISO/IEC 15415 standard prefix set of characters that
identifies the symbol type.

When enabled, the reader analyzes and identifies the symbology and adds
a three character identifying prefix to the data:
