Factory Settings
You can change and save certain factory settings to non-volatile memory for power-on
the scanner. Factory Settings applies only to Gain Adjustment and Scanner Type.
Caution
: Changing this setting can adversely affect the quality of the MS-850
decodes. Keep a record of these settings in case you need to restore them later.
So that your factory settings will not be changed and saved accidentally, the actual
save function is carried out in the Send/Receive Dialog box.
Gain Adjustment
Default:
45
(nominal)
Options:
10 to 255
Note
: Gain Adjustment is optimized at the factory before shipment; your default
value may not be 45.
Allows you to specify a gain value for the analog circuitry. Changes to Gain should
typically be done by qualified technicians.
IMPORTANT
: Before saving any changes to Gain Adjustment (see “Save Scanner Type,
SPS, and Gain for Power-on”, first record the optimized factory setting for future reference.
