12. STOPPING A RECORDING
CAUTION:
Extraction of the card while ending the recording will immediately stop the
recorder. Possibility of data loss. There is a high risk of major errors during the download of
the recording.
This chapter describes how to stop Spider SAS under the best conditions and to avoid the
errors which could cause the loss of the recording.
NOTE:
If the recorder no longer flashes green this means that Spider SAS has automatically
stopped the recording due to low battery. This prevents data loss.
Spider SAS cannot be programmed to check for a precise date or time of ending. In general,
the device is stopped after a period of monitoring defined between the physician and the
patient.
NOTE:
The recorder stops automatically in the event of insufficient space on the µSD card.
This operation does not create data loss.
SPIDER SAS PAIRED WITH COMPUTER
When the patient is back, this possibility is available if Spider SAS is still flashing green and
Bluetooth interface on the computer is activated
― Run HookUp RS then check click on [
Connection
] / {Connection} button. When Spider
SAS is connected, check the Patient ID (see § 10.1 part 6).
― Then press on [
Shutdown
] / {Shutdown} button.
― Spider SAS Status led stops flashing and becomes fixed during 5 seconds before going
out.
― Open the cover, then remove the φ Hub cable from the connector
― There is a short beep when the operation ends.
― Open Spider SAS. The µSD card can then be removed and analyzed using the
Synescope SAS software.
STOPPING SPIDER SAS WITHOUT HOOKUP RS
― Check if Spider SAS is still flashing green.
― Open the cover then remove the φ Hub cable from the connector
― Open Spider SAS by removing the back cover (see § 7.5)
― Then press the On/Off button and wait for the red LED (6) to stop flashing (see § 7.1)
― Spider SAS Status LED stops flashing and becomes fixed for 5 seconds before going
out, there is a short beep when the operation ends. µSD card can then be removed then
analyzed using the Synescope SAS software.
