NOTE:
Spider SAS is worn by the patient for at least one night. Both reusable and
disposable neck holsters have been designed to guarantee maximum comfort and hygiene
for the patient and to protect the recorder from sweat. Spider SAS is firmly maintained in the
holster locked by a simple metal clip.
Place the holster around the neck following the picture (see §8.8). Adjust the cord length so
that Spider SAS is located at the top of the patient’s sternum. To stop the recording, Spider
SAS must be paired and connected with the PC.
ELECTRODE PLACEMENT
The information relating to the installation of the electrodes is provided as an indication only
.
It is advisable to check that the amplitude of the ECG is sufficient enough to allow a real time
analysis of the ECG signal under the best possible conditions.
The user can check the quality and the amplitude of the ECG using the HookUp RS software
(see section 10.3.1).
To ensure a high quality ECG recording, the patient’s skin must be prepared meticulously.
The same rule applies for electrode placement and cable connection. Rub the skin gently
and clean it thoroughly to obtain a proper contact with the electrode in order to minimize the
effects generated by muscular movements and electromagnetic disturbances. The electrodes
must be applied carefully in order to avoid air bubbles, which could prevent proper contact.
Positioning of electrodes for this configuration
is shown in the figure on the left.
