REMOVING THE IGNITION CONTROLLER
Remove the right-hand radiator fairing.
Disconnect and remove the ignition block (3).
N.B.:
The ignition block has two functions, an ignition box and a
high tension coil.
REMOVING THE MAGNETO ROTOR AND
ARMATURE
Remove the fi ve cover securing bolts.
Remove the rotor (1).
N.B.:
For other operations on the magneto, see Section 5 (EN-
GINE).
Depending on the model, the rotor also acts as a starter
crown gear.
REMOVING THE NEUTRAL POSITION
SWITCH
Remove the chain guard (two bolts).
Disconnect the switch cable (1).
Remove the switch (2).
REMOVING THE STARTER MOTOR
Remove the left-hand cover securing (fi ve bolts).
Remove the three securing bolts from the starter motor.
(two inside and one outside).
Disconnect the supply cable (1) from the starter motor (2).
Remove the starter motor.

WARNING:
Tilt the machine over to prevent the oil from spilling from
the box.
