Main Spreader Assembly
L1
- Maintain Oil Level In Apron Drive Reducer At Sight Gauge, Accessible At Right, Rear Side. It Holds 6
Qts. When Required, Refill With SAE 85-140 Moly Fortified Gear Lube Or Synthetic SAE 75-90 Gear
Lube. Change Oil Every 2 Years With Regular Usage.

- Grease Drive Shaft Bearings Under Spreader Box, One Pump Every 8 Hours. MS400- 4 Locations,
MS485-5 Locations. 3-4 Bearings Under The Box Accessed By Grease Lines In Front Of Axle On RH
Side Of Spreader, 1 Bearing In Front Of Spreader Under The PTO Guard.

- Grease The Apron Drive Shaft Bushings. (2) Outer Bushings, Ports Directly On Housing, BOTH SIDES.
(2) Center Bushings By Grease Lines At LH Rear Of Spreader. 5 Pumps Every 8 Hours.

- Grease The Axle Bushings At Both Sides Of The Spreader By The Grease Lines.
4 Locations. 10 Pumps Every 8 Hours.

- Remove The Wheels And Hubs Annually. Clean Out Old Grease And Repack Bearing Cones With
Quality EP Grease. Put A ¼” Film Of Grease On The Bearing Cups And Reassemble. If Your Hubs Have
Grease Zerks, Do Not Use Them. Grease Builds Up In The Hub And Eventually Will Damage The Seal
When Expansion From Heat Occurs.

- Grease Hitch, 2 Pumps Every 8 hours.

A. CROSS & BEARINGS- 5 Pumps Every 8 Hours
B. CV CENTER HOUSING- 30 Pumps Every 24 Hours
C. CV BALL & SOCKET- 5 Pumps Every 8 Hours
D. TELESCOPING MEMBERS- 8-10 Pumps Every 8 Hours
E. GUARD BUSHINGS- 5 Pumps Every 8 Hours
F. OVER-RUNNING CLUTCH- 3-4 Pumps Every 8 Hours
-Lubricate All Fittings With A Good Quality Lithium Soap Compatible E.P. Grease Meeting The N.L.G.I. #2
Specifications And Containing No More Than 1% Molybdenum Disulfide.
-An E.P. Grease Meeting The N.L.G.I. #2 Specifications And Containing 3% Molybdenum Disulfide May Be
Substituted In The Telescoping Members Only.
