Caring for and cleaning the product
CAUTION!
Incorrect cleaning can cause damage to the product.
Do not use any harsh chemicals or solvents to clean the
product.
Only clean the product as described in this manual.
Maintain/clean the product as follows:
Detach the product from the camera.
Disconnect the product from the external power source.
Remove dirt, moisture, fluids, saltwater etc using a dry, soft cloth (e.g. a microfibre cloth).
Contact your dealer if you are unable to remove dirt in this way.
Battery care
Disconnect the product from the battery charger once the battery is fully charged.
Leaving the product attached to an external power supply or charger, when permanently not in
use, can shorten the battery life.
Do not charge the battery outside the permitted temperature range (0°C - +35°C), the product
can otherwise be damaged or the battery life shortened.
The battery can discharge over longer periods of non-use. Consequently the product can
possibly no longer be switched on. For this reason charge the battery after longer periods of
non-use.
The battery should be charged at least every three months. For longer storage purposes
the charging status should be 50 percent or higher.
Storing a discharged battery for longer periods can shorten the battery life.
If the battery charging status display shows incorrect values in the OLED display, we
recommend that you completely discharge the battery or the product and afterwards fully
recharge. This corrects the battery charging status display.
The built-in battery has limited lifespan and should only be replaced by the manufacturer. If,
after a few years, the battery performance drops significantly, get in touch with your specialist
dealer.
