METRIA
pH tester
1.
Contains:
pH meter, instruction manual,
screwdriver
.
2.
Operation
:
Remove the protective cap
-Do not be alarmed if white
crystals appear around the cap.
This is normal with pH electrodes
and they dissolve when rinsed in
water.
-Turn the meter on sliding the
switch on the top.
-Stir gently and wait until the
display stabilizes. Readings are
automatically compensated for
temperature variations.
-After use, switch off the pH
meter, clean the electrode and put
the cap back on.
NOTE: Do not use distilled or
deionized water for storage
purposes.
Large fluctuations in readings
could be due to a lack calibration,
electrode dryness or low battery.
3.
Calibration:
-Sink the tester up to the
maximum immersion level in pH
6.86 buffer solution.
-Allow the readings to stabilize
and use the included screwdriver
to adjust the calibration nut at the
back of the device to read 6.9.
NOTE: Always use fresh buffers
for calibration purposes.
4.
Battery replacement (Fig.1)
When the meter cannot be
switch on or the display fades,
open the battery compartment
cover and replace all four 1.5V
batteries, taking into account the
polarity.
Batteries
should
only
be
replaced in a safe area using the
battery type specified in this
instruction manual.
