Auto-Calibration
The Auto-Calibration function automatically performs an Auto-Zero, fol-
lowed by Auto-Span 1 and Auto-Span 2. To eliminate a function from the
sequence, set its timer to ‘
0 ’. The sequence of events for the component is
the same as described for Auto-Zero/Auto-Span.
Auto-Span 2 and its associated timer ( Timer 2 ) is used only when
the optional O
2
Sensor is used ( General Purpose applications/ana-
lyzers only ).
This function can be started manually, automatically on a timed basis, or
by a remote dry (potential-free) contact closure. Upon completion of the
calibration sequence, the Cal Status relay will continue to indicate that a
calibration is in process until the
SDelay timer has expired.
Timed Start of Auto-Calibration
The analyzer automatically initiates the Auto-Calibration sequence on
a timed basis. The
ACal Timer is the time interval between calibration
sequences. To set this function, press F3 9 (CAL mode) and then enter a
value (hours) for the automatic-timed start of the Auto-Calibration.
If the ACal Timer is set to an interval other than ‘ 0 ’, the first Auto-
Calibration occurs after the ACal interval from the time the analyzer
is powered up or reset as long as no Fault conditions are present.
Subsequent Auto-Calibrations will be initiated at every
ACal interval.
Example:
If the ACal Timer is set to ‘ 3 ’ and the analyzer is powered up or reset, the
first Auto-Calibration will occur at 3 hours if all temperatures are reached.

