Alternator Installation

1. Position the alternator in the mounting bracket.

2. Install the mounting hardware and tighten to the specified torque.

5. Reconnect both battery cables, being certain to connect the negative (–) cable last.

 WARNING

Inspecting the belts with the engine running may cause serious injury or death. Turn off the engine and remove the ignition

key before adjusting tension or inspecting belts.

IMPORTANT: The brackets and washers on the idler pulleys must be in a certain order or the serpentine belt will come off. All

pulleys are referenced as though you were standing in front of the engine looking at the belt.
