NOTICE

Pre‑load in forward or reverse position can damage the stop, the shift cable, or the control box components. Adjust the shift

cable to prevent the reverse gate from loading against the forward or reverse stop.

1. Thread the cable barrel onto the shift cable.

2. Use a degreaser to clean off all oil film from the area on the shift cable indicated following.

NOTE: Removing the oil film from the shift cable is necessary to prevent the bellows from sliding on the cable.
