Filling
1. Remove the fill cap and dipstick and observe the fluid level.
2. Add the specified fluid to bring the fluid level up to the proper level.

3. Install the fill cap and dipstick.
Changing
Power‑assisted steering fluid does not require changing unless it becomes contaminated. See your Cummins MerCruiser Diesel
Authorized Repair Facility.
Engine Coolant
!
CAUTION
A sudden loss of pressure can cause hot coolant to boil and discharge violently resulting in serious injury from burns. Allow the
engine to cool down before removing the coolant pressure cap.
Checking
IMPORTANT: Check the engine coolant before starting the engine.
1. Allow the engine to cool.
2. Remove the pressure cap from the coolant expansion tank.
3. The coolant level in the coolant expansion tank should be within 25 mm (1 in.) of the top of the fill neck.
