In this case, observe the following instruc-
tions:
R
there is a risk of fire and injury.
R
switch off the auxiliary heating.
R
remove the fuse of the auxiliary heating.
R
have the auxiliary heating checked imme-
diately at a qualified specialist workshop.
!
If you do not use the auxiliary heating for a
prolonged period, residue could build up in
the auxiliary heating fuel system as a result
of exposure to heat and condensation. This
residue causes malfunctions in the auxiliary
heating. Have the auxiliary heating checked
and repaired at a qualified specialist work-
shop before operating again.
!
Turn on the auxiliary heating at least once
a month for approximately ten minutes. Oth-
erwise, the auxiliary heating could be dam-
aged.
!
The auxiliary heating may only be operated
with conventional diesel fuel. Operating with
100% fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) fuel or
diesel fuel with an admixture of more than
10% fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) fuel can
lead to malfunctions and is therefore not
permitted.
When transporting hazardous goods, always
observe the relevant safety regulations. Keep
objects a safe distance away from the vent of
the auxiliary heating.
Mandatory switch-off
!
When the auxiliary heating system is in
heating mode and during its cooling off
period, the power supply shall be disconnec-
ted using the battery isolator switch only in
the event of danger. If the power supply is
interrupted in heating mode, the cooling off
period can not be initiated and the auxiliary
heating system may sustain damage.
Vehicles transporting hazardous goods with
ADR classification:
R
You must switch off the auxiliary heating
before entering a hazardous area (e.g. a
refinery).
R
The heater automatically switches off if you
switch off the engine or engage power take-
off. The combustion air blower continues to
operate briefly during the cooling-down
period and then switches off automatically.
Operation using the timer

R
set the operation time to between 10 and
