Using the multimedia system as a Wi-Fi hotspot
The multimedia system serves as a Wi-Fi hotspot
for mobile communication devices such as a
smartphone or tablet PC. With the connected
devices, you can use apps which interact with the
multimedia system. The data volume of the vehi-
cle or an already connected tethering device is
used for the data connection.

Using a mobile communication device as a Wi-Fi
hotspot (tethering)
An external Wi-Fi hotspot is accessed for the
Internet connection of the multimedia system.
The data tariff of the mobile communication
device is used for the data connection.

This function is country-dependent.

Activate Wi-Fi .

Select Connect to the Internet .

To select an Internet source: select Central
display

In this way, the Internet access is used for the
entire vehicle.

This enables Internet access via a Wi-Fi hot-
spot.
