Warning!
Brakes and wheels can become very hot
during operation. To prevent burns, let them
cool completely before checking the
thickness of the brake pads. You could be
seriously burned coming in contact with hot
parts.

Turn the steering wheel so that the front
wheels are in a straight-ahead position.

Engage the parking brake.
X Shift the automatic transmission into park
position

Turn off the drive system.
X
Remove the SmartKey from the starter
switch.
X
Take the brake pad gauge out of the tool
bag in the cargo compartment
