When your vehicle is in electric drive mode the
drive system produces significantly lower
noise levels. Other motorists or pedestrians,
especially those who are visually or hearing
impaired, may be unable to hear your vehicle
while it is in motion. This is particularly true
when driving at lower speeds and during
parking maneuvers. At all times, it is the
responsibility of the driver to be aware of their
surroundings, especially in these low speed
situations. Otherwise other road users could
be seriously or fatally injured.
The electric drive provides silent driving
conditions when driving off with the high-
voltage battery and when the ECO Start/Stop
function is in operation.
Danger of electric shock
The components of the drive system are
indicated by yellow warning labels to make
you aware of high voltage. High-voltage
cables are orange-colored.
Do not attempt to make any repairs or service
of the vehicle's high-voltage system (500 V)
due to the danger of electric shock that may
result in serious or fatal injuries.
Due to the F-CELL technology, some cables in
your vehicle carry voltages of up to 500 V.
Therefore, all service work on your vehicle
must be carried out only at an authorized
F-CELL Service Center by qualified
technicians.
Contact an authorized F-CELL Service Center.
Authorized F-CELL Service Centers have the
required hydrogen-safe garage.
Particular caution is urged concerning all
parts that are connected to the vehicle’s high-
voltage system (500 V), such as components
