Adjusting the instrument cluster 

illumination

Use the reset button (

Y

 page 235) to adjust

the illumination brightness for the instrument
cluster and the switches on the center
console.

To brighten illumination: Briefly turn the

reset button (

Y

 page 235) clockwise as far

as it will go and release it.
The instrument cluster illumination is
adjusted to the next brighter setting.
Several settings are possible.

To dim illumination: Briefly turn the reset

button (

 page 235) counterclockwise as

far as it will go and release it.
The instrument cluster illumination is
adjusted to the next darker setting. Several
settings are possible.

The instrument cluster illumination is

dimmed or brightened automatically to suit
ambient light conditions.
The instrument cluster illumination will also
be adjusted automatically when you switch
on the vehicle’s exterior lamps.

Resetting trip odometer

Make sure you are viewing the standard
display in the multifunction display.

X

Press and hold the reset button in the
instrument cluster until the trip odometer
is reset.

F-CELL gauge

G

Warning!

When the pointer in the F-CELL gauge is in the
black segment the power output is reduced
noticeably. Adapt your speed and driving
accordingly. Exercise particular care when
passing or accelerating. Otherwise, you could
cause an accident.

F-CELL gauge 

:

 indicates the available

power of the drive system. The F-CELL gauge
contains two segments:

R

black segment
It indicates the available power of the high-
voltage battery from driving off to a certain
vehicle speed. When more power is
required, the fuel-cell system is started
automatically.

R

white segments
The fuel-cell system has been started. The
displayed amount of power is available.

Power gauge

G

Warning!

The braking effect of the electric drive is
reduced as soon as the high-voltage battery
is charged completely. You must then apply
the brakes in order to decelerate the vehicle.
