Connecting the jump lead
X Remove the battery compartment cover

First, connect the positive terminal clamp of
the jump lead to the positive terminal of the
other vehicle's battery and then to the

positive terminal of the starter battery.

First, connect the negative terminal clamp of
the jump lead to the negative terminal of the
other vehicle's battery and then to the
±
negative terminal of the starter battery.
X
Assisting vehicle: run the engine at a high
speed.
X Start the engine and leave it running at idling
speed.
Disconnecting the jump lead
X First, disconnect the negative terminal
clamps of the jump lead from the negative
terminals.
X Remove the positive terminal clamps of the
jump lead from the positive terminals.

First, connect the positive terminal clamp of
the jump lead to the positive terminal of the

X Slide back the red protective cap with the
other positive terminal clamp of the jump lead
and connect the positive terminal clamp to

X First, connect the negative terminal clamp of
the jump lead to the negative terminal of the
other vehicle's battery.
X Slide back the black protective cap with the
other negative terminal clamp of the jump
lead and connect the negative terminal clamp
to the
±
negative terminal.
X Assisting vehicle: run the engine at a high
speed.

Start the engine and leave it running at idling
speed.
