Tack the zip in place in the fabric. Secure the zip foot so that it snaps into place in the correct position on
the pin. The needle must be able to pass through the slot on right-hand side of the presser foot. Then sew
the left-hand side of the zip from the bottom to the opening at the top. Keep the needle as close to the
zip’s teeth as possible for the best results, and sew together the fabric and the zip. Reinforce the lower
part of the zip opening by sewing backwards. Raise the zip foot and position it on the left-hand side so
that you can sew the right side of the zip from the bottom up. Finally remove the tack seam.
