Answer a Call

1.  When there is an incoming call, the music will pause automatically.
2.  Press the   /

to pick up the call with hands-free function on the Bluetooth speaker.

3.  Press  the   /

again to end the call; music will resume playing automatically.

4.  To redial the last number called, press the   / 

 button 

twice; some smartphones may not have this function.

Note:

 

For best sound quality, speak into the “Mic” hole directly within a distance of 30-60 cm.

FM Radio

1.  Switch to FM Radio by pressing and holding the   /   button

 for 2-3 seconds while in Power On/Bluetooth mode. A voice tone 

announces “Radio” from speaker when in FM Radio mode and the LED indicator 

will change from Blue to Red. Press and hold the  

 button

 again for 2-3 seconds to return to Bluetooth mode.

2.  To Auto Tune/Search and Auto Preset Stations, press and hold the

 button for 2-3 seconds; a voice will announce 

“Radio Channel Searching” from speaker and the LED will blink quickly when the radio is searching for stations in range of frequency 
87.5MHz – 108MHz simultaneously.

3.  The radio’s searching will end and lock into the first station available for listening.  All stations found within range will be preset and 

stored into the speaker memory automatically.

4.  To change from the current Preset station, press the

MAINTAINING YOUR SYSTEM FOR CONTINUED ENJOYMENT

•   When not in use, turn the speaker off.  To extend the battery life of your external audio/mobile device, turn off the Bluetooth signal 

when not in use.

• 

Do not operate speaker under running water or fully immerse it in water. Splash-proof design requires rubber seal cover to be tightly 
closed and speaker positioned away from direct water spray.  

• 

For best results, wipe speaker dry if it becomes wet from excess moisture to prevent the internal parts of the unit from possible 
damage.

Do not use this apparatus near water.

Congratulations on your purchase of the Memorex Shower Bluetooth

 Speaker with FM Radio! The speaker’s built-in wireless technology 

makes it easy to transmit music while in the shower and answer phone calls hands free. Its splash-proof design is ideal for wet 
environments. This product is IPX7 Certified and submersible to 3’ for 30 minutes. Easily mount the speaker in the shower using the suction 
cup provided. Listen to your favorite tunes during your morning routine from your smartphone, tablet or FM radio function. Please follow 
these operational instructions carefully. Save them for future reference.

RECHARGEABLE BATTERY

The MW232R features a built-in rechargeable battery that can be charged using the micro USB Charging Port 

am

 located on the side of the 

unit under the rubber seal cover. Before first use, fully recharge the speaker 2-3 hours for optimal performance and battery life.

Notes:

 •   Connect charging cable (included) to a computer USB port or USB power adapter (not included).
 •  When connected to a power source, the Red Charge LED 

indicates the charging is in progress.

 •  The Charge LED 

will turn from Red to Green when the internal battery is fully charged. 

 •  When battery runs low, the speaker will signal several tones indicating need for recharging and will eventually power off 

automatically. The speaker will not turn on until recharging the battery for a minimum of 10-15 minutes.

 •  To prolong battery life, completely discharge before fully recharging again.  Recharge the battery at least once a month.

OPERATION

Pair a Bluetooth-Enabled Mobile Device

1.   Turn on the MW232R by pressing and holding the Power button 

 

 

v

 for 2-3 seconds. 

2.  A series of tones will sound and the Bluetooth pairing LED Indicator 

X

 will blink Blue. 

3.  Turn on your mobile device and place it within 33 ft/10 m. (without barrier) of the speaker.
4.  Refer to your mobile device for instruction on enabling Bluetooth. It is usually located in the Settings menu or similar location.  After 

enabling, “MRX-MW232” will appear as an option on your device. Select it and your mobile device will connect with the Memorex 
MW232R. Use “0000” if a pairing code is necessary.

5.  Upon successful connection, the Bluetooth LED indicator 

X

 will blink every 3-4 seconds. If pairing or connection fails, the speaker will 

exit pairing mode. It may reconnect automatically, or it may need to reconnect manually by using the Bluetooth device list menu.

 

If connection is lost after successful pairing, check to make sure the distance between speaker and Bluetooth-enabled device does not 
exceed 33 ft/10 m. If the connection is interrupted due to low battery, turn the speaker off, recharge the internal battery, and repeat 
steps when fully charged. Press and hold the Power button

 for 8-10 seconds; the speaker should reset itself and turn on 

automatically.

Note:

  

When turned on and in Bluetooth source mode, the speaker will automatically try to connect to the most recently paired device 

when available.

Listen to Music

1.  When the Bluetooth-enabled device is paired, use the device to Play and Pause music and adjust the volume. The sound will be heard 

through the speaker.

2.  On the speaker, adjust volume by pressing and holding the “+”  

or “–” 

button on the front of the speaker and Play/Pause music 

with the    /

•  Check to make sure battery is fully recharged.
•  Make sure device is powered On.

No sound

•   Check volume level on speaker and mobile device or other music source.
•  Make sure Bluetooth device is within range 0-33 ft/10 m.
•  Check to make sure Bluetooth device is connected.
•  Check to make sure the correct audio source is selected.

No response from speaker

•   Make sure the internal battery has been charged.
•  Reset the Bluetooth speaker (with the power on) by pressing and holding the
