Dosing equipment lifetime
The components of the dosing system are subject to high demands:
• Exposure to high concentrations of cleaning products
• Mechanical strain from peristalsis (e.g. by the peristaltic tube)
• High (ambient) temperatures
• Long operating hours
It is therefore essential that the operator has these parts (i.e. wear and tear parts)
checked and serviced regularly. However, it is extremely difficult to prescribe exact
life spans when the parts will need to be replaced since conditions differ greatly
from machine to machine.
The materials found in the dosing system and especially in the peristaltic tubes are
not suitable for use with all detergents and rinse aids available on the market. In
certain cases, they must be adapted to the relevant conditions. This will require
agreement from the Service Technician (MEIKO authorised) or the detergent sup-
plier.
This maintenance guideline (see page 53) is therefore simply a non-binding rec-
ommendation.

Options
4.7.1
GiO-MODULE
The module works according to the principle of reverse osmosis. Drinking water is
pressed by a pump through a semi-permeable membrane. The membrane lets only
water molecules through. The hardness components and salts (lime scale, etc.) con-
tained in the water are held back. The clean water (permeate) is brought to the dish-
washing machine; the materials held back (concentrate) are brought to the drain.
4.7.2
Automatic hood system
The hood is fitted with an electric motor, removing the need for physical effort when
opening and closing.
Features:
• Closes hood when wash key is pressed
• Closes hood with optional
basket detection
• Opens and closes hood when hood handle is tapped
• Opens hood when cycle is finished (setting)
4.7.3
Rack detection (Intelli-Start) (option)
Basket detection/Intellistart is an additional function available with the
automatic
hood system
option. When the basket is pushed into the machine, the hood closes
after 3 seconds and the chosen wash cycle starts automatically, see page 38.
4.7.4
PowerWash
Electronic regulation of wash performance to be optimally adjusted to the washware
and degree of soiling:
• 3 pressure levels, see page 34
• Soft start
• Integrated into the following models: HM-PW, HL, HXL-PW
