Installation and connection of the device
CAUTION!
Danger of damage to the device from impacts.
Set up the device so that it is protected from falls and impacts.
Place the device only on an even, slip-proof and sufficiently large and
stable surface.
The installation surface must be larger than the device and be able to support the weight of the device
including the full water container. Information regarding weights and dimensions can be found in the
section “Technical Data”.
Ensure that a mains socket is available at the desired installation location.
The mains socket must not be farther away from the installation location than about one metre. It must
be possible to lay out the mains cable of the device so that it is not tense.
Place the device on a suitable surface.
DANGER
Danger of fatal injuries from electric shock.
Ensure that the supply voltage indicated on the rating plate matches that
of your mains supply.
Never touch the mains plug or mains cable with wet hands.
Do not bend or kink the mains cable.
Insert the mains plug into the mains socket.
Use of the device
Switching on and off
CAUTION!
Danger of malfunctions or damage to the device from overheating.
Ensure that the air inlet and the air outlet are not obstructed by any
objects.
To switch on the device, briefly press the ON/OFF button once.
The green LED lights up. A draught of air can be felt at the air inlet.
To switch off the device, briefly press the ON/OFF button once.
The green LED goes dark.
If you are not going to use the device for an extended period, store it as described on page 21.
Emptying the water container
When the water container reaches maximum filling, the yellow LED lights up, and the device switches
off automatically.
