Mechanical Components
This section describes the major components of the machine and the steps required to service them.
Base
When steam cleaning the base/undercarriage, cover electrical
components to prevent water penetration������
Steam clean the base as necessary, and inspect all welds and brackets. Check for cylinder pins that
have turned in their mounting, which may indicate sheared retaining pins.
Tires And Wheels
Inspect for cuts, chunking, side-wall damage, or abnormal wear. Any tire faults MUST BE
CORRECTED before further machine operation. Refer to Parts sections for replacement tires.
FAILURE TO USE APPROVED PARTS MAY CAUSE DEATH OR SERIOUS
PERSONAL INJURY������
REPLACE TIRES WITH THE CORRECT TIRES TO MAINTAIN THE RATING
OF THE EQUIPMENT������
IF FOAM FILLED TIRES WERE FITTED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT THEY
MUST BE REPLACED WITH EQUIVALENT SPECIFICATION TIRES AND
FOAM-FILL WEIGHT������
Changing Tires
Refer to “Lift and Support The Machine” on page 15 for instructions and safety precautions.
Always block the wheels before lifting the machine������
Chock tires on the end of machine opposite the tire to be changed.
Break loose but
do not remove
lug nuts before raising the machine.
Lift the end of machine requiring a tire change and support with jackstands of adequate capacity.
Remove lug nuts and pull the wheel off.
Install the replacement wheel.
Install lug nuts and tighten.
Lower the machine.
Tighten lug nuts to proper torque (Refer to machine specifications).
Remove the chocks.
Drive Motors
Refer to Section 5 for repair information.
