(a). For 900R1441005-101 / -103 / -105
fan assemblies:
Sealing Compound (C213)
1). Apply a thin layer of sealing
compound (C213) to edge of center
spline as shown (ref. View C).
2). Do not permit sealing compound
(C213) on the surface shown.
3). While sealing compound (C213) is
still wet, put center spline (20),
with center spline bushing (19)
side up, in the center of fan hub
(1).
4). Align the bolt holes of center spline
(20) and fan hub (1).
(b). For 900R1441002-109 / -113 fan
assemblies:
1). Put center spline (20), with center
spline bushing (19) side up, in the
center of fan hub (1).
2). Align the bolt holes of center spline
(20) and fan hub (1).
(7). Hold pitch plate (17) above fan hub (1).
(8). Align pitch plate bushings (18) with the
pitch horns of fan blade (11).
(9). Move fan blade (11) in to engage the
pitch horns with pitch plate bushings
(18).
(10). Align the bushings of tension-torsion
straps (13) with holes in center spline
(20).
Sealant Primer (C228)
(11). Apply a thin coat of sealant primer
(C228) to the threads of bolts (21).
(a). Let sealant primer (C228) fully dry.
(12). Install washers (22) on bolts (21).
Be careful when you install
bolts (21). Do not push center
spline bushings (19) out of center spline
(20).
(13). Install bolts (21) through fan hub (1),
center spline (20), and tension-torsion
straps (13).
Sealing and Locking Compound (C226)
(14). Apply sealing and locking compound
(C226) to the threads of bolts (21).
(15). Install washers (22) and nuts (23).
(a). Torque nuts (23) 75 to 100 in-lb (8.5
to 11.3 Nm) .
(16). Apply a 0.100 inch (2.54 mm) fillet of
sealing compound (C213) to the joint
between fan hub (1) and center spline
(20) (ref. Detail C).

C827 Desiccant
NOTE:
Tension-torsion straps can be put back
in their package, and have the life limit not
start, if not out of the package more than
five days.
(1). If a tension-torsion strap is removed
from its package for no more than five
days, do these steps:
(a). Put new desiccant (C827) in the
package.
(b). Put the tension-torsion strap in the
package.
(c). Seal the package openings with tape.
NOTE:
If you cannot seal the package; put the
tension-torsion strap, package, and desic­
cant (C827) in a new plastic bag.
(d). Put the package in a box.
