(9). If radio equipment is installed, discon
nect coaxial antenna cables.
(10). Check entire instrument panel and
support column for clamps or nylon
straps that may restrict separation,
and disconnect any such items.
NOTE:
Make notes for routing of all lines,
cables and wiring before removing instru
ment panel/upper support column assembly.
(11). Remove hardware attaching instru
ment panel/upper support column
assembly to lower support structure.
(Removal of six screws and support
column front panel will aid in removal
of three center attachment bolts.)
(12). With assistance, carefully lift out
instrument panel/upper support column
assembly.
B. ‘‘T’’ Instrument Panel Installation
NOTE:
Before and during placement of instru
ment panel/upper support column assembly
on lower support structure, make sure all
cables, wires, and lines are routed properly.
(Ref. Figure 203 for R/H Command T-Panel,
Figure 204 for L/H Command T-Panel) Mount
instrument panel/upper support column
assembly on lower support structure. Secure
with attaching hardware.
NOTE:
Installation of three center screws is
best accomplished with lower radio or panel
removed.
(1). Connect all lines, wires and cables,
ensuring sufficient slack for connection
without strain.
(2). If radio equipment is installed, connect
coaxial antenna cables.
(3). Make sure BAT/EXT PWR switch is set
to OFF.
(4). Connect electrical connectors J9-P and
J110-P.
(5). Connect wire P505C(3-10) to battery
relay K310 pin A1.
(6). Connect P108 to battery.
(7). Connect ventilating control cable and
perform operational check (Ref. Sec.
21-00-00).
(8). Connect thermocouple leads to TB9 on
TOT indicator. Check for correct
thermocouple circuit resistance.
(9). Connect engine torque gauge and
engine oil pressure gauge. Connect
pitot and static pressure lines to
altimeter and airspeed indicator.
(10). Ensure that all connected wires and
lines are secure.
(11). Perform ground run-up of helicopter to
check operation of all indicating
systems (Ref. PFM, Table 201, Sec.
01-00-00).
(12). Connect external power supply and
perform power-on check of all systems.
Troubleshoot as necessary.
(13). Bleed engine torque and engine oil
pressure lines to indicators as neces
sary (Ref. Sec. 79-00-00).
3. Hood Replacement
A. Hood Removal
(1). Disconnect audible warning horn at
splices SP81 and SP82.
(2). Remove six screws and washers from
rear of instrument panel.
(3). Extract caution and warning light
assembly from hood.
B. Hood Installation
(1). Position caution and warning light
assembly in hood.
(2). Position hood assembly on instrument
panel and install using hardware
previously removed.
(3). Connect audible warning horn.
