bolts and nuts, shall be touched up with one
or more coats of topcoat to match the sur
rounding area.
(17). After re-priming and before painting,
refer to Figure 901 and Figure 902 and
proceed as follows:
(a). Install left doubler with 11
MS20470AD3 rivets.
(b). Install right doubler with 11
MS20470AD3 rivets.
(c). Install left bracket with four
NAS1424-03 lockscrews, one
MS20615M3 rivet and one
MS20615M4 rivet.
(d). Install right bracket with four
NAS1424-03 lockscrews, one
MS20615M3 rivet and one
MS20615M4 rivet.
(e). Install one clamp on each side of left
doubler with fasteners.
(18). Install grommet as follows:
(a). Wash grommet and area around hole
in doubler with naphtha (CM220)
and air dry.
(b). Apply heavy coat of cement (CM405)
to grommet and to area around hole
in doubler, and allow cement to
harden 15 minutes minimum.
(c). When cement has hardened, apply
thin coat of cement (CM405) to
mating surfaces and press together.
Allow assembly to air-dry for eight
hours minimum.
(d). Install lamp housings per Float
Lamp Housing Replacement. Do not
install lamps until wires are in
stalled.

(1). Remove passenger compartment left
side foot support fairing.
(2). Draw vertical line at exactly 14.43
inches (36.6522 cm) from center of
helicopter, buttline 0.00.
(3). Draw horizontal line intersecting
vertical line at 3.50 inches (8.89 cm)
from top of seat structure.
(4). Draw second horizontal line intersect
ing vertical exactly 2.18 inches (5.5372
cm) from first horizontal line.
(5). Dimple both center marks with center
punch.
(6). Recheck hole center dimensions. Center
marks must be 2.18 inches (5.5372 cm)
apart.
(7). Drill two clearance holes with #7 or #5
drill bit.
(8). Deburr holes as required.
(9). Wash area around holes with naphtha
(CM220) and allow to air-dry thorough
ly.
(10). Touch up exposed metal with acrylic
lacquer (CM305), to match color
number 34151. Allow paint to dry
thoroughly.
(11). Assemble and install relay (Ref. Float
Lamp Relay Replacement).
