(7). Release clamp securing pitot tube to
web of instrument panel lower support
assembly, and carefully slide pitot tube
forward or rearward through grommet
on canopy panel.
(8). If pitot tube is to be salvaged, apply
tape seal over open ends to prevent
entry or foreign objects.

(1). Clean grommet surfaces and apply
coating of bonding compound on inner
side of grommet between grommet and
pitot tube to make airtight seal (Ref.
Canopy Panel Grommet Replacement
(Procedure Using A-4000 Adhesive) or
Canopy Panel Grommet Replacement
(Procedure Using Silastic 140 Adhe
sive)).
(2). Carefully slide pitot tube forward or
rearward through grommet on canopy
panel. Install clamp that secures pitot
tube to web of instrument panel lower
support assembly.
(3). Install tubing to knife splice SP140 and
connect knife splice. Install two straps.
(4). Secure red and black leads with cable
(5). Connect pressure tube threaded fitting
or install clamp that secures pressure
tube to rear of pitot tube.
(6). Install left or right lower section panel
of instrument panel lower support
assembly.
(7). Install un-numbered black 20 gauge
lead from pitot tube heating element to
ground terminal E24 and assemble
terminal.
(8). Replace access door in copilot's floor
and replace heal strips.

(1). Disassemble ground terminal E56 on
pitot tube support bracket.
(2). Remove black 20 gauge wire to pitot
tube heating element. This lead is
un-numbered.
(3). Remove five screws securing right
lower section panel of instrument panel
lower support assembly.
(4). Disengage knife splice SP140 which
connects red wire from pitot tube
heating element to wire F504B16.
(5). Detach cable straps connecting red and
black leads.
(6). Detach pitot tube from back side of
airspeed indicator.
(7). Release clamps securing pitot tube to
web of instrument panel and support
bracket, and carefully slide pitot tube
forward through grommet on canopy
panel.
(8). If pitot tube is to be salvaged, apply
tape seal over open ends to prevent
entry of foreign objects.

(2). Carefully slide pitot tube forward
through grommet on canopy panel.
Install clamp that secures pitot tube to
web of instrument panel and support
bracket.
